SpeedX partners with ProShip on US last-mile deliveries
SpeedX, the tech-enabled last mile delivery provider, has partnered with ProShip, a specialist in shipping software, to give enterprise shippers instant access to delivery services reaching over 12,000 zip codes and 175m people across the US via a single, centralised platform.
An enterprise shipper can be defined as a high-volume business that employs scalable logistics solutions to manage complex, multi-carrier shipping across widespread networks.
Partnering with SpeedX allows shippers using the ProShip platform to enjoy a “seamless connection” to SpeedX’s delivery model which offers next-day and two-day services.
This new collaboration focuses on fast, last-mile delivery, suitable for TikTok Shop, Amazon and other major marketplaces, helping shippers manage high-volume, time-sensitive deliveries, particularly during peak seasons.
Anthony Pizza, VP growth & innovation at SpeedX, commented: “This partnership empowers shippers with a strong combination of SpeedX’s innovative, cost-efficient delivery network and ProShip’s well-respected and tenured parcel shipping platform.
“Together, we are giving businesses seamless and affordable access to the agile, transparent, compliant and intelligent last-mile delivery services needed to thrive in modern e-commerce logistics, and to increase their delivery footprint.”
Heath Galbraith, director of strategic accounts at ProShip. added: “SpeedX’s technology-driven approach and flexible carrier network closely align with ProShip’s priority to help businesses optimize complex parcel shipping operations.
“This partnership expands customer options when it comes to diversifying service capabilities, maintaining cost efficiency and delivering on promises.”
Business growth
Built to facilitate e-commerce, SpeedX gives shippers the ability to scale operations and adapt to business growth, using diversified carrier networks to unlock new capacity, reduce costs, and provide clear, transparent and competitive pricing.
SpeedX itself has, it said, enjoyed a near-doubling of its shipment volumes in just the past 18 months, now handling over a million deliveries each day.
Business has been boosted by the growth of both international and domestic e-commerce, SpeedX said. It has opened some 60 new facilities across the US over the last year to expand its reach to more than 80% of the nation’s population.
Earlier this month (March), SpeedX appointed Tim Lock as chief product officer as the company continued to expand its executive team.
Lock joined from AP Moller-Maersk, where he was product head of last mile, leading ‘key product transformation’, while he was previously part of the country leadership team at DHL eCommerce, serving as Hong Kong Branch general manager.
And in December last year, SpeedX opened a new e-commerce and freight ‘superhub’ close to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
The new 200,000 sq ft facility features a next-generation auto-sorter with expansive chute capacity, enabling processing speeds of up to 30,000 parcels per hour and 500,000 shipments daily during peak season.
The facility also offers expanded dock doors and floor space to accommodate both parcel and freight shipments.
