Incoterms Guide

International rules for common trade terms

Incoterms 2020 provide a consistent interpretation of trade terms in foreign trade, reducing uncertainty across countries. Incoterms apply to the contract of sale and the delivery of goods, not the contract of carriage.

Incoterms Summary

EXW (Ex Works)

The seller delivers when it places the goods at the disposal of the buyer at the seller's premises or another named place. The seller does not load the goods or clear them for export. This term represents the minimum obligation for the seller.
